Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour 2 Days 1 Night

Day 1: Cusco – Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

You will start the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu tour with pick up in your hotel at approximately 8:00 am; after picking up additional passengers, you will begin the 40-minute drive to Pisac.

On the way, you will stop a couple of times to see the beautiful landscapes and local Market in Corao. Also, you will visit the archeological site of Pisaq and learn about the history and local area.

You will continue to visit Urubamba and get some time to enjoy lunch (optional, you can book your lunch with us). Then you will go to Ollantaytambo and enjoy the fantastic temple of the sun and the archeological site. Afterward, you need to go to the train station and take the train to Aguas Calientes according to availability. It will be 2 hours approximately until AC, where a transfer will wait for you and settle you into the hotel. Finally, explore the town, enjoy an overnight in Aguas Calientes, and prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

In the morning, you will have breakfast in the hotel. (optional you can take with your breakfast if for any reason you leave the hotel before 5:00 am) After you take the bus up from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, it takes 30 minutes to drive up to the main gate to visit Machu Picchu.

When you arrive in Machu Picchu, you will meet with your tour guide and approximately enjoy the explanation for 2 hours.

After finishing your journey with a professional tour guide, you will have more time to spend in Machu Picchu. Also, if you book a climb up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, you will have enough time to walk and have different views of Machu Picchu Citadel.

After finishing your tour or climbing a mountain, you will have to go down to Aguas Caliente (return by bus or walking), where you can join one of the local restaurants or bars.

Afterward, you will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo according to the time on your train tickets. In Ollantaytambo, the transfer will pick you up with the bus to return to Cusco.

Finally, you can be dropped off in Cusco at San Francisco or Regocijo Square near the Main Square ( Plaza de Armas). Also, you can request to be dropped off in your hotel or homestay in Cusco downtown.
