Day 1:

Start your day with an early morning hotel pickup and transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board a train to Aguas Calientes. The journey provides an opportunity to take in stunning landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, a representative from the agency will greet you and accompany you to the bus station for your ride up to Machu Picchu. The journey takes approximately thirty minutes, following a steep, winding path that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Once inside the archaeological zone of Machu Picchu, your expert guide will take you on a two-hour tour of the most important sections of this incredible Inca city for 2 hours approximately. After exploring Machu Picchu, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and a chance to explore the town’s souvenir shops, restaurants, and bars. Your return trip to Cusco includes a train ride from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and a transfer to your hotel. Depending on the train schedule you can arrived to Cusco 19:00 to 22:00.

Early from 4:00 to 4:45 am, the guide will pick you up at your hotel or hostel. Please make sure you are waiting in the lobby for your guide, who will come to look for you. After boarding our transportation, you will head to Cusipata for a delicious breakfast and a chance to stop for some pictures, relax, and stretch your legs. There is a small shop where you can buy snacks or water before starting the Rainbow Mountain day hike.

Day 2:

After stopping at Cusipata, you will continue to the starting spot called Chillihuani. Your guide will organize everything before we begin your hike to the famous Rainbow Mountain. The trek is 2.1 miles (3.5 km) long, with uphill, flat, and upland sections that will take us to Rainbow Mountain, located at 17,125 ft (5,220 m). There, we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the ancient valleys of Ausangate and the opportunity to see wild Llamas, Alpacas, and Vicuñas.

After this memorable experience, you will turn back on the same trail, which will be easier this time as most of the path is downhill. The downhill hike will take around one hour, after which you will board the bus and enjoy the drive back to the restaurant. Once you will get back to Cusipata, you will have lunch before taking your transportation back to Cusco center, where you will be dropped off near the Plaza de Armas. Almost all groups arrive in Cusco between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.”

• There is a trekking of 2.1 miles (3.5 km) to reach the first Rainbow Mountain lookout. All hikers must be in good physical condition.
• If you need to hire a horse to ride for some reason, please be aware that the agency does not manage the rental or horses and will not be involved in the process. Locals rent them for 30 USD (100 soles).
• The operator is not responsible for changes in weather conditions during your tour. It’s recommended to obtain more detailed information about the meteorological conditions through applications or another procedure and then select the most favorable departure day about the functionality of this query.
• The gravel road is not best; the drive can produce altitude sickness. It is suggested that you bring personal medication or pills with you.
• Groups walk at different speeds every day. The tour guide will be in different parts assisting the group.
• Red Valley is an optional way back to your starting spot (20 Soles)
