Humantay lake is located in the south part of Peru  (3 hours drive  from Cusco and 1 hour walking). Humantay lake Peru is located at 4200 m.a.s.l. and is surrender by the Salkantay glacier and Humantay Glacier, with a full day tour you will enjoy all this area an then you will take a car to rich ollantaytambo where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. In the second day you and your guide will go to Machu Picchu for a unforgettable Tour.

DAY 1: TREKKING TO LAGUNA HUMANTAY

Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake -  Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

  • Pick up from your hotel in Cusco.
  • Drive from Cusco to Soraypampa for 3 hours.
  • Enjoy the energetic breakfast.
  • Begin the trekking to Lake Humantay.
  • Appreciate the scenaric views of Nevado Humantay and the Humantay Lagoon.
  • Go down to Soraypampa and take delicious lunch.
  • Take our transport to Ollantaytambo for 3 hours and a half. 
  • Take the train to Aguas Calientes.
  • Dinner and briefing for next day. 

DAY 2:  VISIT MACHU PICCHU 

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo -  Cusco

  • At morning go up to Machu Picchu by bus. 
  • Tour Guiding to visit and explore Machu Picchu.
  • Take beautiful pictures.
  • Go down to Aguas Calientes walking or by bus. 
  • Free time in Aguas Calientes Town.
  • Take the train to Ollantaytambo.
  • Van from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.

Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake -  Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

This tour start picking up the passengers between 4:30 to 5:00 from their hotels. We will drive for 3 hours to the starting spot Soraypampa. Where we will enjoy an energyc breakfast. 

The tour guide will provide all information and recommendations to start the hike to Lake Humantay. On the way you can see the mountains and scenaric views. The thawing of the snowy create a fantastic landscape of this Lagoon. You will learn about this area and take the best photos. 

After visit Humantay Lake Peru you will descend to Soraypampa to enjoy a delicious lunch cooked for our chef. 
We continue by our van to Ollantaytambo for 3 hours approximately. In Ollantaytambo we will take the train to Aguas Calientes around 1 hour 45 minutes.

When you arrive to Aguas Calientes your tour guide will be waiting for you at the train station to go at restaurant to take the dinner. Then you will go to the Hotel in Aguas Calientes. 

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo -  Cusco

You will wake up early in the morning to have the breakfast and take the bus to Machu Picchu, around 30 minutes take to rich the main gate Machu Picchu. Once you arrive to Machu Picchu you will meet with your Tour Guide to start the tour inside Machu Picchu. Your Tour Guide will explain and teach about function, history, construction of Machu Picchu. Also you will have time to take the best pictures of this wonder world.

Once you finish to enjoy Machu Picchu you will come back to Aguas Calientes walking around 45 minutes or take the bus for $ 12 USD. 

You will have time to visit and explore Aguas Calientes Town or maybe the hot springs. There are a lot of restaurants, hotel and bar where you can relax for the afternoon before board your respective train. 

In the afternoon or night you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo for 1 hour 45 minutes. Then the transfer or driver will be waiting for you to go to Cusco.
